As a kid with a dad who owned a bike shop, it was inevitable that Dallas would end up with a love for motorcycles coursing through his veins. Dallas started work at his dad’s shop at just 15 years old as an Apprentice Spare Parts Interpreter. Being a small dealership, there was always plenty of multitasking to be done and so his knowledge across all aspects of a motorcycle dealership grew. Although the dealership was multi-franchise, Dallas’ focus and love was always for the Harley-Davidson brand. He says the satisfaction when selling someone a Harley was always so much greater than for any other motorcycle brand. He thinks the nostalgia and heritage of the brand, the Harley-Davidson story, is what makes H-D a standout and also the reason why Harley-Davidson is so ingrained in motorcycle culture worldwide. He says that people are so much more excited to own a Harley, it’s a completely different ownership experience to anything else. In January 2011 Dallas jumped at the opportunity to move to Bundaberg with his wife Jess, and take ownership of his first Harley-Davidson dealership. He was excited to have a stand-alone dealership so he could fully focus on the H-D brand. Recently, Dallas has just celebrated 22 years working in the motorcycle industry, and in 2019 celebrated 8 years ownership of Bundy H-D. Dallas is proud of the work he, his wife and his staff, have all undertaken over the last 8 years to take Bundy H-D to the next level. He says the Harley-Davidson Motor Company has been making significant changes and he has strived to make sure we have evolved alongside them in order to deliver a greater experience to our customers.
